Nikki Webster, the 13-year-old star of the Olympic Torchlight at the Sydney Olympiad opening ceremony, will come to Beijing on April 14 to participate in a series of activities in support of the bid for Beijing’s 2008 Olympics. This was made known by some sponsoring units on Tuesday.
Nikki will arrive in Beijing on April 14 for a large-scale evening party for “Welcome 21st Universiade, Bid for Olympics” co-organized by Beijing 2008 Olympic Games Bid Committee (BOBICO), China Central Television Station, 21st Universiade Organizing Committee and supported by Australia International Trade Association.
In addition, she will also attend a mascot hand-over ceremony for Beijing’s bid of 2008 Olympics held April 17 in Diaoyutai State Guesthouse Hotel and another support ceremony to be held by mayors of 100 Chinese cities.
According to reports, Nikki is considering over her cooperation with some Chinese media, film companies, financial institutions and enterprises, in which she will shoot for public ads for Beijing’s bid for the 2008 Olympics.
