Childhood pin-ups: <\/strong>My idols are Kylie Minogue and Olivia Newton-John.<\/p>\n

Silliest thing you’ve done:<\/strong> Probably when I went up to another guy thinking he was my dad. My dad was standing next to this other guy and I went to give him my bag after dance classes and hug him and stuff and it was another guy, so that was pretty silly.<\/p>\n

Bravest thing you’ve done:<\/strong> I wouldn’t know. That’s a tough question. Flying around in the air at the Olympic stadium was pretty amazing.<\/p>\n

Is image all about hair: <\/strong>No, I think image is basically about personality and how you come over to different people.<\/p>\n

Favourite indulgences:<\/strong> Singing around the house and catching up with my friends.<\/p>\n

Worst habit:<\/strong> It used to be biting my nails but I don’t do that now.<\/p>\n

Three things you would take to a deserted island:<\/strong> Food, water and my dogs, Star and Princess. Star is half poodle and half maltese and Princess is half maltese and half king spaniel.<\/p>\n

Whom do you most admire:<\/strong> Kylie Minogue and Olivia Newton-John because they’ve been around in the business for so long. They’ve done a whole range of things and I want to be an all-round performer when I grow older.<\/p>\n

If a movie was made of your life, who would play you:<\/strong> It would have to be someone young. I would really love to see that happen. It would have to be a blonde child . . . I love Shirley (Temple).<\/p>\n

Tea or coffee:<\/strong> I don’t have a lot of time for that . . . but I take tea white with one sugar.<\/p>\n

* NSW Premier Bob Carr<\/strong> told Nikki Webster: `You’ll be in the history book of Australia.’ Olympics Opening Ceremony director Ric Birch<\/strong> told the world’s media: `She’s goin’ in a nobody and comin’ out a star.’ Both of them were right. Webster is famous for her singing, dancing and flying (!) feats at Stadium Australia. Now she is set to become a fully fledged pop star. Nikki’s first single is Strawberry Kisses, released through John Farnham’s label, Gotham Records. Strawberry Kisses debuted in the national top five and went gold (35,000 copies) within 10 days. An album is due in August. <\/p>\n
