Now 23, many remember her as the cute, curly blonde-haired girl who flew through the air at the Sydney Olympics opening ceremony in 2000.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think a part of me will always be that little girl at the Olympics,\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s why I\u2019m here today and it was such a wonderful experience and more people remember that about me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ms Webster was excited about her role as one of the \u201cexclusives\u201d at the school in <em>Short Beach<\/em>. \u201cIt felt freaky putting a school uniform on again,\u201d she said of her film role. \u201cFeature films are something very new and exciting for me and it came out of the blue.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ms Webster has many projects including her dance school and talent and modelling agency on Parramatta Rd, Stanmore.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe opened the talent agency over a year ago and we\u2019ve got 32 clients aged 0-17,\u201d Miss Webster said.<\/p>\n<p>She said her film experience will feed back into the agency, which she started with her brother, Scott, and agent Cimone Grayson. \u201cGetting hands on experience allows me to give feed back to my clients and tell them what I\u2019ve learnt on set,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m also writing lots of music with different writers and producers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The dance school has seven teachers and the business is continually growing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve been so busy since I was 13 so I\u2019m very used to being busy,\u201d Ms Webster said.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CAREER HIGHLIGHTS<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>2000<\/strong> Performed in the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games opening ceremony.<br \/>\n<strong>2001<\/strong> Her first pop single, <em>Strawberry Kisses<\/em>, opened at No. 2 and was nominated for an ARIA in the highest-selling album and single categories.<br \/>\n<strong>2001<\/strong> Starred as Dorothy in Australian production of <em>Wizard of Oz<\/em>.<br \/>\n<strong>2002<\/strong> Released second album Bliss.<br \/>\n<strong>2005<\/strong> Participated in TV dance show Dancing with the Stars.<br \/>\n<strong>2007<\/strong> Starred in musicals Hair and Rent.<br \/>\n<strong>2008<\/strong> Opened dance studio with brother Scott.<br \/>\n<strong>2009<\/strong> Opened talent and modelling agency.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Visit:<\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dancenikkiwebster.com.au\">dancenikkiwebster.com.au<\/a> or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.talentnikkiwebster.com.au\">talentnikkiwebster.com.au<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Source: The Inner-West Courier (digital edition)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Alex Ward PUTTING on a school uniform for her first feature film role felt strange for Nikki Webster.
